VINICASE

Wine Storage
To ensure that quality is never compromised, certain rules need to be followed when aging as well as storing wine.
The ambient temperature should range between 10 and 160° C. Sudden fluctuation in temperature must be avoided at all costs.
The humidity should ideally be between 60 and 75°.
Bottles should be stacked securely and in such a manner as to prevent sudden movement.
Bottles should be stored horizontally to insure that the corks are kept in constant contact with the wine.
The cellar should be well ventilated and void of natural light.

The VINICASE concept
VINICASE is a product which meets, then exceeds, the demands of proper wine storage. Our unique storage system was developed with the assistance of professionals in the wine trade in order to create an ideal storage facility for bottled wine. VINICASE is as easy to assemble as it is to dismantle and is very stable. Our patented system, consisting of 9 precision measured elements, can be put together without the use of either glue or cement.

The Product
In principle, VINICASE elements are produced from a combination of white cement and powdered stone obtained from the world famous Comblanchien quarries located in the Côte de Nuits (Burgundy). The natural colour, preserved by using only white cement, the superior quality as well as the density of the material provides a thermal mass which is imperative in guaranteeing a stable temperature around the bottle and creating an excellent storage environment.

Design
The unique design of the VINICASE system has been inspired by the ancient and prestigious cellars found in many of France’s famous wine growing regions. The simple but perfectly “ arched ” design accentuates the character and ambiance of the wine cellar. The addition of small metal gates or grids, mounted in front of some of the bins, adds a more personal touch to the cellar.

Stacking the bottles
The ability to stack each layer with up to a depth of two bottles has greatly contributed to the success of the VINICASE system. Not only are the labels clearly visible but the back row of each layer allows the neck of the bottle, which is particularly sensitive to the shock of temperature changes, to be positioned in the middle of the bin where it can be effectively protected against such fluctuations. Using a small piece of wood to support the back row of bottles on the bottom layer not only increases the capacity of each bin but also provides a tighter, more secure fit for its contents.

Bin Capacity
Bin capacities can vary from 4 to 96 bottles depending upon its size, the number of subdivisions as well as the type of bottle to be stored.

Getting started
The VINICASE system adapts itself well to many different environments - for example, it can be placed up against a wall, or in the middle of a room as a single unit, or underneath a staircase. As a result, the design provides customer specific solutions independent of cellar location.
In addition, each bin can be subdivided with the use of removable shelves. This offers greater flexibility with regard to the amount of bottles that can be stored in each bin. Moreover, the system can be easily augmented to meet your changing requirements.

Designing your own cellar
Based on your individual requirements, you can design your own VINICASE system simply by taking the exact measurements of the location where you would like to store your wine and by applying our modular concept to optimise your available space. Or if you prefer, our VR Production staff will be more than happy to create a design for you without any obligation provided that you can supply us with the following information:
The length, height, width as well as the relative location of any doors, partitions, windows, pipes etc. in your designated area.
The number of bottles you would like to store.
